CTIC reaffirms its commitment to equity and registers its third equality plan

The virtual assistant CTIZIA is in charge of resolving doubts about the reconciliation and questions about the recently approved document.

CTIC Technology Center has equality in its DNA. So much so that it was in 2019 when the first Equality Plan was signed, anticipating the regulatory requirement of the ministry. Now, the center has just signed the 2026-2030 Equality Plan, a document that includes twenty-four measures designed to reinforce and give continuity to a commitment that is more than integrated into its daily reality: equity.

This new plan builds on a track record of more than twenty years of commitment to female talent and reinforcing the rights and opportunities of the entire team that makes up the center, always in favor of equality.

Although the new document establishes lines of work to continue consolidating this commitment, the diagnosis on which it is based makes it clear that equality has become part of the center's culture. Women and men have the same opportunities of access, participation and permanence in CTIC, and aspects such as the use of inclusive language or the balanced presence of women and men in the different organizational structures are also a reality in the organization.

CTIZIA Equality, virtual assistant

The recently registered plan has a continuist character: its objective is to continue favoring the development of female technological talent and to bet on a work environment in equality, but with the firm purpose of incorporating technology with its own developments that contribute to equality in society. In addition, the delegated agents of equality in the company in the Principality of Asturias, who visited CTIC to evaluate the previous plan in force (2023-2025), valued the work done during these years in terms of equality and inclusion in CTIC and encouraged the center to apply for the Excellence in Equality Mark.

To this end, CTIC has developed specific tools to translate this commitment into daily practice. Among them, a gender language analyzer that is already used internally, and CTIZIA Equality, a virtual assistant to which all the staff can resort to solve doubts related to conciliation, available resources on equality, inclusive language guide or any of the measures reflected in CTIC's Equality Plan.

Promotion of scientific-technological vocations

The promotion of scientific-technological vocations among the younger generations, and especially among women, continues to be a pillar of CTIC's social commitment.

The labor market demands many more professionals than are being trained and this demand for STEAM talent is expected to increase. And despite its high rate of employability, gender inequality persists in STEAM fields. Therefore, from CTIC we promote and coordinate initiatives such as MASSTEAM immersive orientation for the promotion of scientific and technological studies.

The increasing digitalization requires a mindset of continuous change and this change must start with an informed choice of future free of stereotypes. CTIC is in that change.
