Information Society

CTIC Foundation -Information Society is a socially- oriented organisation that was set up by CTIC- Technology Centre to help implement the Information Society, Social Innovation and Development Cooperation policies. It shares with CTIC-Technology Centre a common commitment to the region through technological development, innovation and an interest in contributing to the building of an inclusive knowledge society for both companies and citizens.

Its activity is divided into three main areas:

  • Technology and Society.
  • Social Innovation.
  • Development Cooperation.

Technology and Society

CTIC Foundation-Information Society carries out programmes, strategies and projects in which the use of ICT, on the one hand, promotes regional development thus stimulating the real and effective social participation of all the groups at risk of exclusion and reducing the digital divide and, on the other, contributes to the development of a more dynamic and competitive economy by raising awareness and assisting micro-enterprises in the incorporation of ICT as a differentiating tool and a catalyst for their competitiveness and productivity.

Social Innovation and ICT

In the framework of social innovation, CTIC Foundation-Information Society carries out several activities designed to encourage future scientific- technological vocation by promoting values such as imagination, creativity, innovation and team work and also by stimulating the development of creative abilities, design skills and technological fluency, as well as collaborative work and problem-solving abilities.

Development Cooperation

CTIC contributes to development cooperation policies through the transfer of methodologies and strategies regarding technological development and innovation.
