Chelo Abarca Sanchis has a degree in Theoretical Physics from the Complutense University of Madrid, Master in Computer Science and Telecommunications from the Pontificia University of Comillas, and Master in Politics and Business in the European Union by Birkbeck University of London. She has worked in the ICT sector for more than 15 years in the management of working groups and in the Board of Directors of several international standardization bodies of mobile technologies. In the last three years she has been a board member of ETSI (European Standardisation Organisation ICT) in charge of relations with the European Commission for regulatory issues including the Digital Agenda. She is currently Director of Institutional Relations at RIM/BlackBerry in Spain.
