Estella Cohen is Issues Manager at the Office of the Information and Privacy Commisioner in Ontario (Canada). She has over 20 years experience working for the  municipal and provincial government as an advocate for Social Justice and Privacy Manager.

Estella is convinced of the role technologies can play regarding privacy. For years, her social justice work focused on ensuring the protection of the rights of the most disadvantaged groups.

The Information and privacy Commission Office, under the direction of Commissioner Ann Cavoukian, has developed numerous tools and procedures to ensure that privacy is protected in Ontario and in the rest of the world.
