This project focuses on stimulating innovation and implementation of the Internet and Information and Communication Technologies by small Asturian companies through a technological consultancy service provided by companies’ consultants of the ICT regional sector.
COTICEMA develops its own intervention methodology ant the ICT business sector plays an important role by prescribing and analyzing the demands of the companies’ benefiting from the service.

Objetives:

The main aim of the technological consultancy service is the implementation of the proposed solutions. To achieve this, the project will have the assistance of the SAT Centre Network, which will support companies in their implementation process, on a continuous basis.
Objectives for the benefiting companies:

• To enhance competitiveness, from the perspective of ICT use, improvement or introduction, by making them worth to use. 
• To develop new business outlooks based on ICT use.

Other objectives:

• To promote and consolidate strong and sustainable working methodologies.
• To involve ICT sector in this work, through a cooperative working system (mixed team made up of internal and external consultants).
• Exchange of experiences:  

From the internal consultants’ team to ICT sector: to mainstream methodologies, working procedures and expertise on technological awareness raising in micro enterprises.

From ICT sector to the internal consultants’ team: to enrich and complement the internal consultants team technological knowledge through the cooperation with external consultants.

Service description:

Benefiting SMEs have the option of choosing the certified external consultant on the project methodology whenever they ask for that service. The consultant will visit the company to gather the necessary technical and business information for his/her advice.

Once all the information has been collected, the external consultant will hold a working meeting with the whole project internal consultant team to make an specific diagnosis of the SME starting situation regarding ICT use and implementation.

On the basis of this diagnosis, a document will be prepared and include solutions of competitive improvement for the company in different aspects, such as those related to e-commerce, internal company communication, management of human resources (e-learning, on line recruitment, etc.), production processes, legal aspects of ICT implementation (data protection, e-commerce), etc.

Finally, the external consultant will visit the company again to hand out and explain the document prepared for it.

Target group:

Asturian companies from industry, construction, commerce and service sectors, except those not eligible for the Plan of SME Consolidation and Competitiveness [Plan de Consolidación y Competitividad de la Pyme].
