ARSGUIDE: Augmented reality system for industrial maintenance

Industrial maintenance requires personnel to consult large amounts of technical information and follow precise procedures, often in conditions where it is difficult to handle documentation.

The project's objectives were to:

• Develop an augmented reality-based assistance tool for maintenance personnel.
• Integrate into it all the necessary information and operating procedures.

SGS Tecnos had the collaboration of CTIC, which contributed its expertise in augmented reality, in a transnational project in which the German company Softplant GmbH also took part.
