BOSCO investigated the potential of an expert system to support clinical diagnosis, based on an intelligent predictive model, capable of providing early warning of the risk of self-harm or suicidal behavior and of supporting decision-making in the management of these cases in primary care.

Early identification by primary care professionals of the emergence of self-harm or suicidal behavior, or of the worsening of behavior already detected, makes it possible to activate the mechanisms needed to address it through personalized interventions.

The project's objectives were:

  • To develop an expert diagnostic support system based on big data and artificial intelligence.
  • To stratify people according to their level of risk of self-harm or suicidal behavior.
  • To define personalized prevention and intervention measures for each risk tier, in support of decision-making in primary care.

Tesis Medical Solutions worked with CTIC, which contributed its expertise in intelligent data analysis and in predictive risk stratification models.
