CTIC designed the launch of Costa Rica's Web Accessibility Reference Center, conceived as a knowledge hub to help put digital inclusion and standardization policies into practice in the country's e-government and among ICT sector companies.

The project responded to Costa Rica's need for a web accessibility reference hub that would support both public administrations and ICT sector companies in their digital inclusion processes.

The project's objectives were:

  • Provide strategic and technical support for the launch of a Web Accessibility Reference Center.
  • Define the services the Center would offer, their rollout, and their target audiences, as well as the methodologies and metrics of the associated studies.
  • Design a strategic and business model that would ensure the sustainability of the initiative through the provision of services.

The project was structured around the following areas:

  • Technical approach: definition of the Center's services and planning of their rollout.
  • Strategic and business approach: design of a model that would ensure the continuity of the initiative beyond the launch phase.

CTIC carried out the project for the Fundación Tecnológica de Costa Rica (FUNDATEC).
