Certificación e-Empresa: Digital maturity certification model for companies

The model is based on a continuous improvement process that makes it possible to measure a company's maturity level in a given field and to set out an improvement path to increase its capabilities in that field, moving up levels as it increases and optimizes the incorporation of information and communication technologies into its processes.

The assessment produces a map of the company's technological situation, structured around several key areas, which makes it possible to learn the level of optimization of ICT use in its processes, compare the results with those of other organizations or with the sector average, and identify strengths and weaknesses in order to define areas for improvement on the path to digitization.

As a result of the certification process, the company can:

• Measure its technological situation, identifying its strengths and weaknesses.
• Compare its technological situation with that of other organizations in its own sector or in other sectors.
• Receive recommendations on technological solutions linked to the digital maturity indicators it does not meet.
• Adopt a strategy that allows it to position itself technologically in relation to its environment, both in its relationship with customers and suppliers and in order to differentiate itself from its competitors.

CTIC developed the e-Empresa certification model as its own tool for assessing digital maturity, applied through CTIC-EVA in its diagnostic and certification processes for companies, and used as a complement during the execution of the SAT Network, a program to drive digital transformation in Asturias.
