DATA4PYME: Support program for Gijón SMEs to incorporate business intelligence techniques
Generación y adquisición de datos
Analítica y visualización
The program starts from the premise that in the day-to-day of business activity a multitude of data is generated and accumulated and recorded digitally, and that intelligent analysis of that data makes it possible to gain knowledge from information that has been previously generated, stored, transformed, classified, organized, and integrated. In many decision-making processes (product design, sales, or management) this analysis provides an objective view that cannot be achieved otherwise, helping to anticipate the consequences of business decisions.
Through an individualized support itinerary, CTIC helps each SME analyze its business model, obtain a diagnosis of its hardware and software infrastructure for data management, and design and launch a dashboard or data analytics pilot project tailored to its needs, using tools such as Google Data Studio or Power BI.
Across its two editions (2019 and 2020-2021), the program has supported a total of 13 SMEs in Gijón. The results achieved include dashboards capable of autonomously incorporating new data sources (CSV or Excel files) and processing them through custom-designed modeling functions, as well as specific training in business intelligence tools for the staff of the participating companies.
CTIC carried out DATA4PYME with co-funding from the call for incentives for the business development ecosystem of Gijón Impulsa, the municipal economic development agency of the Ayuntamiento de Gijón.
