INFOTERNERA: Information system for the management of beef production and sales in Asturias

The beef value chain in Asturias is made up of various players that process the product until it reaches the end consumer. Strict traceability and labeling rules, together with the need to convey an image of exceptional quality and reliability to customers, called for a system that would simplify and interlink paperwork through ICT.

The project's objectives were to:

• Reduce and simplify the paperwork across the beef value chain.
• Interlink information among the different players in the chain.
• Strengthen product traceability and labeling.

Telecable had the collaboration of CTIC in developing the information system, in a project in which Alimerka also took part.
