Innotetur: Acceleration and innovation program for tourism businesses in Gijón

INNOTETUR was an acceleration program promoted by OTEA that sought to equip tourism businesses in Gijón with the tools and capabilities they needed to bring new products and innovative solutions to market, for their own businesses and for the city as a smart tourist destination. The project was aimed at businesses that are members of OTEA, with advice and mentoring from CTIC.

It consisted of a training, advisory, and support program covering innovation, creative potential, the creation of new business models, the generation of business ideas, and the application of technology trends, making the most of the opportunities ICT offered to drive innovative projects and the transformation of the participating businesses.

The program also fostered networking and cooperation among the participating businesses, so that the synergies established among them would encourage the development of new, complementary tourism solutions and products, enabling them to reach the market collaboratively.

Businesses also received direct support through individual consulting and guidance, which resulted in a tailored action plan for each of them.
