Oficina de Proyectos Europeos 2024-2025: Strengthening, consolidation, and specialization of CTIC's European Projects Office (2024-2025)

Through its European Projects Office, CTIC focuses its efforts on promoting and boosting the participation of Asturian companies and research groups in European programs that drive R&D and innovation activities, encouraging synergies and collaborations to form consortia that can compete effectively for European funding calls, especially those of the Horizon Europe Framework Program.

The strategic objectives of OPE-CTIC are aligned with the Smart Specialization Strategy (S3) 2021-2027 for Asturias, supporting its five areas of specialization: agri-food, active and healthy aging, heritage and biodiversity, energy and circularity, and smart and resilient industry.

Objectives:

• To increase the awareness of Asturian organizations, especially companies, about the funding opportunities of the Horizon Europe Program.
• To boost the participation of Spanish companies, with special attention to Asturian ones, in the Horizon Europe Framework Program, aligning projects with the priorities of Asturias's smart specialization strategy (S3).
• To strengthen CTIC's international positioning by attending specialized events and forums aimed at finding partners and leading research and innovation projects.
• To consolidate, improve, and internationalize CTIC's research and innovation activity, increasing collaboration with other players in Asturias's science-technology-business system.

CTIC carried out this project with funding from the State Research Agency of the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities (grant GPE2023-001340-P).
