The project started from the idea that a personalized stay should not depend only on the attention of staff, but also on an environment capable of adapting to each customer.
The areas around which SmartLodging4Guest was structured were:
- Data capture: a data acquisition system and monitoring of the accommodation's parameters.
- Intelligent analysis: processing of the data to identify guests' behaviors, usage patterns, and preferences.
- Actuation and visualization: design of the system for acting on the environment and for visualizing information, with final testing and validation.
The Instituto Tecnológico y de Energías Renovables (ITER) led the consortium, in which Magtel Operaciones and Sieltec Canarias took part, and which had the collaboration of CTIC as a technology center.
