CTIC provided a knowledge transfer consultancy for the creation of the local W3C Chapter in Uruguay and Argentina, with the aim of building and strengthening the web community in that region.

The project addressed the need for a local W3C structure in Uruguay and Argentina, capable of supporting existing members of the Consortium and of encouraging new ones to join.

The objectives of the project were:

  • To transfer the knowledge needed to create the local W3C Chapter in Uruguay and Argentina.
  • To build and strengthen the web community in that region.
  • To support local W3C members and help recruit new members for the Consortium.

The project was built around the following pillars:

  • Knowledge transfer: applying CTIC's experience as the W3C Chapter for Spain and Spanish-speaking Latin America to the creation of the local structure in Uruguay and Argentina.
  • Community building: support for existing local members and recruitment of new members for the Consortium.

CTIC developed the project for the Fundación Estudios para la Innovación Digital (GovTech Uruguay).
