TRAVIA developed a system to improve, in terms of costs and results, the training processes for plant personnel in the aeronautical industry, offering low-cost immersive situations for learning certain production processes and occupational risk prevention.

Training plant personnel in the aeronautical industry requires reproducing complex processes and risk situations, which is costly to do in real environments.

The areas around which TRAVIA was structured were:

  • Services platform: a content database and a tool for configuring it.
  • Augmented reality framework: with a dynamic data integration module.
  • Virtual reality framework: 3D models and virtual environments with dynamic data integration capability.

CESA had the collaboration of CTIC, which contributed its experience in augmented reality and virtual reality.
