Technological innovation at the service of the territory, the key to CTIC's success

Since its birth in 2003, it has collaborated with more than 25,000 companies and in 2021 they launched CTIC RuralTech, the first artificial intelligence center created in Spain to serve the rural environment. Last Wednesday, June 17, a special program of Hoy por Hoy of SER Gijón was broadcasted from CTIC RuralTech, in Peón, a special program of Hoy por Hoy of SER Gijón.

Paloma Llanos and Sergio Díaz have interviewed and conducted the talk show with the participation of Marcos Niño (Director General of Demographic Challenge, Government of the Principality of Asturias between 2019 and 2023), Pablo Coca (CEO of CTIC), Beatriz Escudero Rubio (CEO and Executive Director of Pharmadus Botanicals), Enrique López Argiz (CEO of Industrias Lácteas Monteverde); Marcelino González García (CEO of Campoastur until December 2024); Jaime Izquierdo Vallina (Commissioner for the Demographic Challenge in the previous legislature).

During the program, the need to recover the village, to look at the territory with innovative eyes but with firm roots has been addressed. The Aldea 0 project that we have been carrying out since 2022, currently with funding from the Government of the Principality of Asturias has been one of the topics in the conversation, sharing and commenting on some of the initiatives that have been launched under the project over the last few years and that continue to demonstrate that the future in the rural environment is possible.
