The increasing use of building monitoring and control systems has opened up a big business opportunity for data-driven solutions within the real estate sector. However, interoperability between data platforms remains a key challenge for companies looking to maximize the value of available information.
MODERATEemerges as a strategic initiative for companies and industry players - owners, managers, legislators - to share and exploit their data openly, optimizing decision-making and complying with the regulatory framework, including the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
The project will provide uniform access to heterogeneous data sets related to building energy performance, overcoming information silos that limit operational efficiency. MODERATE's open platform will integrate leading-edge technologies such as Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLT) and Internet of Things (IoT), enabling real-time analysis of building data, including with synthetically generated information to optimize model training and decision making.
For participating companies, MODERATE represents a unique opportunity to:
- Access innovative solutions for building energy optimization.
- Improve operational efficiency and sustainability through advanced data analytics.
- Drive new business models based on open data and smart digital services.
Within the project, CTICwill lead the design and implementation of the open platform, including essential cloud services and advanced AI-based applications, which will enable companies to transform data into strategic information and competitive advantages.
