SPHEERE is a European project aimed at transforming the deep energy renovation of buildings through a holistic, digitised, circular and highly industrialised approach. Its objective is to develop a multifunctional renovation package that combines prefabricated solutions (facades, BIPV/BAPV roofs, windows, CO₂ heat pumps, multifunctional converters, reused batteries and WLHP terminals) with advanced digital infrastructure based on BIM, ontologies and digital twins. The project seeks to drastically reduce construction times, costs and waste, increase energy efficiency (to the point of converting existing buildings into nZEB or ZEmB), improve users' quality of life and facilitate innovative business models such as “comfort as a service”, financing based on real data or emissions trading schemes. SPHEERE will demonstrate its solutions in three representative buildings in Europe and will develop optimised processes for both off-site manufacturing and on-site installation, always under criteria of circularity, interoperability and high quality.
CTIC is primarily responsible for developing all the project's digital and ICT infrastructure, including the Building Energy Management System (BEMS), AI-based services and the integration of sensors, actuators and real-time data. Its work covers the programming, selection and interoperability of software and hardware, as well as the implementation of analysis, prediction and communication algorithms using the Digital Twin approach. CTIC leads the development of digital systems and services (T3.3), ensuring their compatibility, cybersecurity and usability, and participating in their validation in the three demonstrators. In addition, it contributes its expertise in automation, electronics and ICT to ensure the correct integration of BIM/DT models, data flow management and interaction with users and stakeholders through intelligent tools.
